To add a new health check, navigate to the Health Service module in the web interface. Click on the Add button.

If the health service license agreement has not been accepted yet, a "Health Check EULA" window will pop up. After you accept the license agreement, a "Health Check Settings" window will pop up. Please configure the settings.
It is only required that you accept the license agreement and configure the settings once.
The "Health Check Product" window (Figure 36) is what you will see when you add a new health check and the license agreement has been accepted, and the settings have been configured.

Product - Select MFT Server or MFT Gateway, whichever product you wish to create the health check for.
Depending on which option you choose, you will be presented with a window titled "Add MFT Server Health Check" (Figure 38) or "Add MFT Gateway Health Check" (Figure 39).
For both products, the fields and buttons are the same except for the default port.

Name - A unique name identifying the health check.
Target IP/host - The IP or hostname of the MFT Server or MFT Gateway.
Port - The REST administrative port number of the MFT Server or MFT Gateway.
Timeout - This property indicates the amount of time, in seconds, that the connection to the MFT Server or MFT Gateway must occur within before it times out.
Use SSL/TLS - Check this box if the connection to the MFT Server or MFT Gateway should be performed using SSL/TLS (the default is disabled).
Username - The MFT Server or MFT Gateway administrative user name.
Password - The administrative password.
Test - Tests the connectivity to the MFT Server or MFT Gateway using the provided IP/host, port and credentials. When the test is successful, you will see a message pop up stating "Target health check host available!".
If the test fails, an error message will pop up stating the reason why.
Add - The health check is saved.
Cancel - The health check is not saved.
Described below are the remaining buttons associated with the health check table. Select a record in the table, then click the desired button.
Copy - An Add window will appear with the fields populated from the copied record. The only field not copied is the Name, as it must be unique.
Edit - An Edit window will appear with the existing health check fields, allowing you to make your changes.
Test - Tests the connectivity to the MFT Server or MFT Gateway using the provided IP/host, port and credentials.
Clear - Deletes all the Results in the local database for the selected health check.
Delete - Deletes the selected health check. The system will automatically delete all existing results associated with the deleted health check from the local database. It does not delete existing reports.
