Installing on Mac OS X

To install JSCAPE MFT Server on a Mac OS 10.3.2 (and above) platform perform the following:

1.  Download and run the install.dmg installation file for JSCAPE MFT Server.

2.  Follow the steps in the installation wizard.

3.  If you are running any firewall software make sure that it is setup to allow JSCAPE MFT Server to run.

4.  Start the JSCAPE Secure FTP Server Service.  If not already running after installation you can start using the following command from your shell prompt:

sudo SystemStarter -v start "JSCAPE MFT Server"

5.  Verify that JSCAPE Secure FTP Server Service is running using the following command from your shell prompt:

netstat -a | grep 10880

where 10880 is the listening port for JSCAPE Secure FTP Server Service.

5.  Launch JSCAPE MFT Server Manager to connect and configure your server.
