Backing up server configuration files

JSCAPE MFT Server has several configuration files that are used to store server details such as services, triggers, server keys and more.  You should backup these files on a regular basis should emergency recovery be needed.  These configuration files may also be used for mirroring configuration settings to other servers for the purposes of failover support.  All configuration files are located in the installation directory of JSCAPE MFT Server.  These files are described below.

certificates.dat

Contains any client certificates created using the Key Manager.

client.dat

Contains keys for client management connection.

email.dat

Contains SMTP server connection settings for use in email.

domains

Contains directory of information for all domains, including services, triggers, reverse proxies etc.

email_properties.dat

Contains email related properties.

failover.dat

Contains failover settings.

https.dat

Contains SSL certificate information for HTTPS service.

jdbc.dat

Contains a list of JDBC driver class names to be registered at startup.

keys.dat

Contains server keys created using the Key Manager.

license.lic

Contains server license key.

pub_keys.dat

Contains any public client keys created using the Key Manager.

pgp_keys.dat

Contains any PGP keys created using the Key Manager.

security.dat

Contains security settings for administrative service.

system.dat

Contains miscellaneous system information.

ssl.cfg

SSL configuration file for administrative service.

sys_certs.dat

Contains server certificates for HTTPS service.

web.cfg

Contains web server configuration details.

 

To automatically backup your server configuration files on a scheduled basis, create a trigger using the Current Time event and System Configuration Backup action.
