Server keys are required for encrypting communications between a client and the server when using secure file transfer protocols such as FTPS, SFTP and HTTPS. Additionally, server keys may be used for the signing and/or decryption of messages in AS2 and OFTP protocols. In the context of MFT Server, a server key consists of a private key, certificate and public key.
Note
Some server keys are installed by default with MFT Server. These are meant only for testing purposes and should not be deployed to a production environment. |
