SSH Factory consists of three components for interacting with remote servers via a command line shell. These components are as follows:

 

Telnet

 

The Telnet component provides an easy to use interface for communicating with a telnet server. Included are additional classes for scripting communications with a telnet server.

 

SSH

 

The SSH component provides an easy to use interface for communicating with a SSH server. Included are additional classes for scripting communications with an SSH server and classes for creating secure tunnels using SSH.

 

SSCL

 

The SSCL (Secure Shell Command Line) component provides a scripting language allowing developers to quickly script and automate routine shell tasks using the Telnet and SSH protocols.

 

Target audience

 

This document is intended to serve as a technical guide to using the classes found in SSH Factory. Users should understand the Java™ programming language and be proficient in writing Java™ applications.
