JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer has the ability to execute native applications. These applications may reside on either the JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer Agent side or the JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer. To take advantage of this ability, you would have to create 'commands' in the Commands module.
A 'command', in the context of JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer, is a template of an application execution environment. Each command consists of parameters that are needed for a successful application execution. Some of these parameters may contain variables whose values are substituted at the time of the actual execution.
Commands can be executed either:
When commands are executed as part of a synchronization, all variables in the command template are automatically substituted using the current synchronization parameters, like the synchronization's name, session ID, associated account names, paths, and the currently synchronized file name/path. (See Commands in a synchronization) However, when commands are executed manually, those synchronization parameters are no longer present. It is therefore up to the user to specify those values for variable substitution. (See Starting a command) |
