Prior to installation it is recommended that you review the Installation components section to determine what components you will require. Each component has its own installer.
Installation instructions for JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer
To install JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer on a Windows platform, follow this procedure:
1. Download and run the synchronizer_install.dmg installer for JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer.
2. Double-click to launch the installation wizard

4. Review and accept the license agreement. Click Next to continue. Figure 016
5. Select the installation directory and then click Next to continue.

6. Specify the datastore for the application's configuration data. You have the option to choose between the built-in/embedded database (the default) and an external RDBMS like MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server. Click Next to proceed.

7. Configure the management services and administrative credentials.
Host/IP - The IP address the management service will listen on. The special address 0.0.0.0 is the default and typical configuration, wherein the management service will be listening on all available IP addresses. Port - The HTTP port the management service will listen on. Administrator login - The username to use for accessing the management server. Administrator password - The password to use for accessing the management server. Administrator email - The email associated with this administrator account

Click Next to proceed.
8. Finalize the installation by clicking the Finish button.

Installation instructions for JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer Agent
To install JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer Agent perform the following:

4. Review and accept the license agreement. Click Next to continue.

5. Select the installation directory and then click Next to continue. Figure 024
6. Set the agent connection settings. Click Next to continue.
Synchronizer host/IP - This is the IP address of the Agent Service (see Enabling agent service). Note, if you used the special address of 0.0.0.0 when configuring the Agent Service, you must use an actual reachable IP address for this value instead of 0.0.0.0 as the address 0.0.0.0 is only valid for listening purposes.
Synchronizer port - This is the port number the Agent Service is listening on. The default value is 40025.
Agent login - The username to use for accessing the JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer. This should be a valid and existing login username on your JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer instance. See Adding agents for details.
Agent password - The password corresponding to that Agent login.
Root path - The root path at which the synchronization will take effect.
Allow native process execution - Tick this check box if you wish this Agent to run native commands. (see Commands)

7. Congratulations! You have successfully installed JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer. Click Finish to launch the web based administration application. See Launching JSCAPE MFT Synchronizer Manager for details.
